Day 14 Friday March 20th – Already two weeks on the World Cruise and I think we get lazier by the day. 🙂

We spent the morning and early afternoon discussing the new itinerary and possibilities for excursions in Africa. We know Oceania will provide some excursions but unknown to us are how the excursions will be divided up amongst the passengers. Also, looking at the ports, there are some ports we will not venture off unless it is an Oceania excursion. So, we spent half the day beginning to look at ports and what we might want to do in those ports.

The afternoon was spent with me updating the blog with the new itinerary, checking to see if I needed to contact private tour operators we might have book for the ports we are no longer visiting and Jackie attending Ho’lke Cultural Recital. She attended to support Joan Meyer who was performing in the Polynesian Dance Recital.

We continued the afternoon after Jackie returned from the Polynesian Cultural Recital by going to afternoon tea to meet Coral Stewart. Coral lives in Australia and we first connected via the 2026 Oceania Facebook Group when I was posting a number of questions. She was always willing to help and provide answers to our questions. Coral’s friend Kimberly Webber was sitting with her. We enjoyed meeting the two of them and then had the opportunity to meet Coral’s husband John and Kimberly’s husband Edward. Like passengers we have met before, just some really down-to-earth great individuals. We were able to discuss the itinerary changes and we talked about our personal diversion in Australia. I saw tonight that Coral sent me some additional information to consider regarding The Great Barrier Reef. It has been fun meeting new people, again from around the world.

Later in the afternoon we both attended the Sing Out Loud Concert which was a group of 70 passengers performing as a choir. Marta Kellam was performing in the group so we went to hear the group but also support Marta. The choir was outstanding and we really enjoyed it. You could tell the group had spent significant amount of time practicing. Then, in the evening we had dinner at The Polo Grill with Dave Chen and Marta along with John and Joan Meyer. A fun evening laughing and the food along with the fine company of these four people.

Today was the country fair on the ship. Let me know if you can find a problem with this cover page. 🙂

She is looking in Dave’s direction. He definitely puts a smile on her face.

Dinner tonight in The Polo Grill. Jackie started with escargot

Lane had the crabcake

There is something under this cover

Lane had the Maine Lobster. Jackie had a 5oz filet mignon, but we forgot to take a photo. I think we were having too much of a good time and forgot about the photo

Jason removed the lobster meat from the shell for me. He had asked if I wanted him to do this and I said yes please I need to relax tonight; I have been working too hard since I came on the ship. 🙂

This is Dave’s plate. He went for surf and turf with the filet mignon, lobster and two prawn.

Jackie and I shared the dessert. What was it? 🙂 Think salted caramel chocolate brownie with ice cream.

Great photo of our waiter for the night Jason and sous chef Premesh.

Tomorrow we are in Rangiroa which is a tender port. We have a snorkeling excursion and I will put the Go Pro under water to film. It should be a fun day……..check it out over the weekend.
