Copy of The Daily Currents. The Currents is usually four pages with a front and back inserted with advertising for the spa, jewelry store and casino. Thank you Baby Jesus Oceania does not have an art gallery or photographers on the ship. I am a bit disappointed no craps table in the casino, but that should save me a few dollars. The Currents provides a daily schedule of events and on the fourth page the restaurant and bar hours, along with service hours for different areas of the ship.
Great news we slept until 7:30am!!!! Now, time for some breakfast and then at 10:00am we are going to cheer for David Chen and Marta as they have advanced to the finals of the ship’s version of The Amazing Race.

Decided on the dining room for breakfast this morning. Not sure what happened, but the menu photo disappeared. I will take it again on our next visit to the dining room for breakfast. Jackie had banana pancakes and I had blueberry pancakes. She also asked if there was cottage cheese on the ship and she was brought a bowl of cottage cheese. The next question will be is there grits on the ship.

After breakfast we went to the pool deck to cheer for a couple we have met on the ship David and Marta as they are finalist in the ship’s Amazing Race. David and Marta are from Dunedin, Florida. They ended up winning the championship with the last contest involving the swimming pool. Below are their pictures along with John and Joan, a couple from New Orleans (Slidell) that they have made friends with while on the ship. In the photo David and Marta are in the middle.

After this event we grabbed some lunch at The Aquamar Kitchen. Well, Jackie ate a Cancun Bowl and I ran off to grab two slices of pizza in the cafeteria. That Aquamar Kitchen menu…..well, you know I am delicate’ (picky)…..laughing.

After lunch we went check out deck 16 which is a sports deck. There are two beanbag toss areas, a practice golf driving setup, miniature golf course and a paddle ball court. After this it was time for an afternoon nap and then I attended the last in the series on Hawaii called “The Day That Changed Everything” which focused on The Pearl Harbor Attack, specifically he dove into the reasons for the attack and then continued from that point to cover December 7, 1941 and the aftermath. Sunday he (James Grant-Peterkin) will start a new series. His talk will cover the real Robinson Crusoe, which should be interesting.

Dinner tonight was in The Polo Grill. It is the name for Oceania’s steakhouse. Just amazing food and service.

The menu is a little difficult to read because of the lighting

Dessert Menu

Lane’s picks for the night
Crab cake

Clam Chowder

Ceasar Salad

5oz filet mignon with bearnaise sauce—- I took the bite that is missing 😉 We shared the potatoes au gratin

Jackie’s picks for her meal tonight
Sashimi Tuna Salad

Jackie also had the 5oz filet mignon. I was at dinner with her this evening and I can testify there was a steak in her plate when it came out the kitchen. 🙂 She had chimichurri on the side.

We shared the dessert which was The Polo Quartet

Every time we eat at The Polo Grill, we mention our grandmothers would have skipped the entire meal just to get to these jelly candies 🙂

Tomorrow is Honolulu and we have an excursion to The Arizona in Pearl Harbor. Unfortunately, the weather does not look good for tomorrow with heavy wind and heavy rain predicted for the entire day.

I was anxiously awaiting this installment. Bill would be disappointed that they don’t have a Craps table, too.
I hope the weather cooperates for your visit to the Arizona.
I am not a big gambler, but I love my craps table!!!! I can go a week without playing but once that urge hits, I am buying in and playing for a little while. We missed the Arizona and so now it becomes a part of the list of places we need to return to like in Cairo to see the new museum and in South America to visit Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls.
Its so beautiful on the ship. And the food looks absolutely marvelous! Enjoy!
Make sure you go to Leonard’s Bakery in Honolulu!!!
It was impossible to get there today with the weather. There were streets flooding in the city so doing a direct drive anywhere was not going to happen. Will have to add it to the list of things we need to return to do.
