Day 33 Wednesday April 8th (87 days to go) — A second day at sea and also our 4th wedding anniversary. A lazy day of not doing much. Jackie went to a IT class and I went smoke a cigar in the cigar lounge. In the evening we had dinner at The Polo Grill with Dave, Marta, John, Joan and a couple from Houma — Kevin and Holly Guidry. We had met Kevin and Holly earlier in the cruise, but this was our first chance for the eight of us to have a meal together. April 8th is also David Chen’s birthday, so it added to the evening celebration.

We went to grab some breakfast and returned to find our cabin decorated by the butler Ketan and the two room attendants Ivana and Rohit. It was a nice surprise and we appreciated their efforts. The three of them are a great group of people. I think Ketan and Rohit are scheduled to go home before we disembark the cruise in Miami. Sadly for them, their departure was scheduled for Dubai. So, now it is up in the air. We would love for them to stay until Miami and I give them grief that they should stay with us but I am sure they are ready to return home to family. I will get the three of them together soon for a group photo.

I am unsure why this was the cover of Currents and not a photo of Jackie and I for our anniversary 🙂 Jackie would tell me it does not always have to be about me, which is total BS. It should ALWAYS be about me……laughing

Copy of the letter we received discussing the arrival into Sydney and what we needed to have with us.

Our cabin decorated for our anniversary.

Here is a photo of Kevin Guidry and I at Mystery Island on April 5th. We have decided to open a temp service providing receptionist services 🙂

There is a string quartet that plays nightly on the way to the Grand Dining Room

Joan Meyer caught us before dinner and had us take photos in the ship’s atrium area.

David ordered a tomahawk steak for his birthday. Look at the size of that bone!!! The steak is 45 ounces and after the bone is removed, it is still over 20 ounces of meat.

Left to right — John and Joan Meyer from Slidell, LA. Marta and David Chen from Dunedin, FL. Kevin and Holly Guidry from Houma, LA. Jackie and I from Cut Off, LA. David asked how he was going to understand what the six of from Louisiana were saying…laughing

We had a blast, although I am not sure anyone sitting around us had the same good time 🙂

It has been great meeting these three couples on this cruise and creating friends for life.
