Day 107 Monday June 22nd (13 days to go) — Slept in and had a late breakfast. Lunch was fun as we ate with Nancy and Vern Lundquist. They are a super couple and we enjoyed the meal with them. Found out we share a wedding anniversary of April 8th with them. This afternoon I finished up the blog for Dublin. This evening we ate dinner at Polo Grill with Joan and John Meyer. Another fun meal spent talking and laughing.

This evening we attended the second performance of The Beatles tribute Just John and Paul.

I posted photos below as we sailed across The Arctic Circle tonight. Also posted photos at 10:30pm showing still daylight. Tonight (tomorrow morning) the sunset will be 12:58am and the sunrise is 1:29am. But as a passenger pointed out since we are north of the Arctic Circle the sun might not set.

Crossing the Arctic Circle tonight means this year we have sailed from Antarctica to the Arctic Circle and also west to east circumnavigation of San Diego to Miami. Guess I can add November 2026 Miami to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal so in the last eight months we have circled the globe north-south and east-west. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to do this.

Photos from the cabin TV screen showing the ship location at 10:30pm

These mountains are 40 miles from the ship and we can see them with a naked eye.

The sun at 12:30am

Midnight Sun

We could not make out what these were swimming in the waters

We will wake up in the morning in the port of Akureyri, Iceland
