Day 111 Friday June 26th (9 days to go) — A much needed lazy sea day. We slept late and then had lunch. Jackie spent the afternoon beginning to pack and I completed the last two Iceland blogs. We started the evening attending an Oceania Club party in Horizons with our buddies and were joined by Ken and Jean a couple from Toronto who we originally met on the overland excursion to Chobe Game Lodge in Africa.
We had reservations at Red Ginger and then attended the entertainment in The Vista Lounge. The performer was a comedian/magician Jean Pierre Parent from Montreal. He was great and had the entire audience bent over in laughter and also scratching their heads on how he accomplished his magic tricks. On Saturday he has a performance where he will show more magic tricks and we will be there as we really enjoyed the evening.

The meal started with each a bowl of edamame.

We shared an appetizer plate with sushi, fried shrimp and calamari, along with skewers of chicken, pork and shrimp.

Jackie had beef teriyaki for her entree

I had a miso scallops’ dish for my entree

We shared a small bowl of fried rice and then decided to skip dessert this evening.

Tomorrow is our second of four sea days on our way to Halifax, Canada. We have a lunch scheduled with the group who went to Chobe followed with an Italian wine tasting at 1:30pm with John and Joan. I am hoping to attend the comedian/magic performance at 3pm and then tomorrow night we had dinner scheduled with Slyvia and Romulo from Monterrey, Mexico.
