Day 66 Tuesday May 12th (54 days to go) — A lazy sea day as we did not do very much, put together some laundry, ate a small lunch and hung out on the pool deck with the group. I believe that other passengers hate when the group gets together as we do get loud laughing at jokes or one another. On this day, hanging by the pool with alcohol involved it probably did not help matters.

In the evening was an Oceania party so after attending we decided to see if we could get a table in a specialty restaurant. We tried three different restaurants and were turned down at each of them. I know it was not because of me since I took a shower before attending the party. 🙂 Actually, we have noticed since leaving Singapore that it is virtually impossible to get a reservation for the eight of us together. The other thing we noticed is that if two of us eat in a specialty restaurant that more than 75% of the restaurant is empty and no passengers are seated after 7:15pm. We are not sure what is going on, but at the party tonight the General Manager told the passengers that we have 781 passengers and 780 crew members, so basically a 1:1 ratio. In trying to get a table for us we were told by the restaurant maître d that the restaurant was short staffed, another told us no new reservations after 7:30pm and another told us that they had other passengers coming in for their reservations at 8:00pm and 8:30pm. We found this funny since we have not seen anyone seated in a specialty restaurant after 7:15pm. This is quite aggravating as we paid for a full cruise, not a partial amenity cruise.

He had probably just finished telling us a joke about Tigger. It has been great fun meeting he and Joan, even though he messes with the magnets on my cabin door every time he passes. Ivana out cabin steward said it is Mr. John. I told her to shoot him!!! Think I had told him my dog makes a pile in the backyard that looks like his drink. 🙂

Kevin and Holly Guidry. They gave me a hard time because I did not realize at the Captain’s Party and the Oceania Club parties that the alcohol was free.

We have another sea day tomorrow on our way to Maputo, Mozambique.
