Day 96 Thursday June 11th (24 days to go) — We spent the day at sea not doing much but, in the evening, we had a dinner in Privee, which is a private dining area in between Toscano (Italian restaurant) and The Polo Grill (Steak House restaurant). The dinner was with the other six passengers that we have spent the majority of the cruise on excursions, hanging out or sharing meals. It was a fun night. Also, June 11th was David’s 70th birthday so I surprised Jackie by having the chef prepare a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs which was his favorite and a dish he made that their family loved. Last photo is of Super Dave; a name I gave him when we first started hanging out to differentiate him from Jackie’s husband who I then started called Original Dave. 🙂 Anyway, Super Dave honored his grandfather in a baseball tournament by placing his name on the inside of his forearm and having a tremendous day of baseball in Mobile, Alabama.

The Maître-D Barbara introducing the staff for our evening. We met Barbara on the Riveria two years ago while sailing in Japan.

The group of eight who have shared many things during The World Cruise.

A special dish of spaghetti and meatballs for Jackie. I had requested a small dish with one meatball, but the chef thought he would make it a little larger.

Bottle of wine that Jackie and I ordered for the evening. We drank this the first time at a dinner with Romulo and Sylvia and really liked it.

Photo of Original Dave with his niece Bree when she could not decide what she wanted for breakfast, so he prepared everything for her.

Super Dave honoring his grandfather with his name on his forearm and having a great day behind the plate as the catcher and also a great day with the bat. The next day he was named MVP of their second game. His grandfather would have made sure everyone knew!!! 🙂
